7:10 Meeting called to order by Bob Johnson

In attendance: Bob Johnson, Richard McVay, Lora Caldwell, Deb Spilko, Jane Kirk, Anne McCarthy, Mark Mateja, Mike Michaelson

Introductions

Meeting was spent mostly discussing G-20 issues and plans for EPI to participate. Jane Kirk shared good info as she was in Pitts already participating with Code Pink (women, children, families effected by war). Jane participated in placing 194 flags representing the Nations of the world. These represented a voice for nations not in attendance.

EPI participants will meet 8am Toys R Us parking lot by the mall Fri Sept 25th.
Mark has offered to drive as well as Mike Michaelson.
EPI banner should be carried in march. Fri is the main march kickoff at noon at the Merton Ctr. Goal is to meet at 5th and Kraut at noon.

Some of the Sisters are going and Anne McCarthy will leave w them at 7:30am leaving from soup kitchen

Cell phone numbers were shared so participants can be in touch when in Pitts.

News coverage from Ch 12 and 35 tonight……interviewed Jane, Mark and Bob regarding G-20….filmed some of our meeting.

Bob Johnson announced he has changed his stance on war in Afghanistan and that we could add that to our 5 points….good idea to continue discussion at next meeting.
Bob will be out of town next meeting and Oct 7th for our demo.

Lora briefly discussed coffee house movement idea with finding local coffee shops to host ribbons and possibly a donation jar….please share any contact info you may have w local business owners so we can get our ribbons out there on display.

Military Rape awareness week…contact is Sandy Kelson. We would like to be included in his plans.
