We are a gathering of people from Erie and Crawford counties who are concerned that the US war on terrorism has become a permanent global war. We are committed to education and action to stop this "War on Terrorism." We want to stop the escalation and spread of such war and to work for true justice and peace.

    Agenda review: Evaluate last 2 weeks actions
Richard reported roundtable went well. Not an EPI issue but lots of us were there.
MLK parade small group but nice
National Guard update…..conference call earlier this eve. Day of action early March in Harrisburg.
Upcoming actions: Mar 21 rally at Pentagon. March 19 is the 6-year Iraq war anniversary. Bob Johnson is willing to drive down. Anne McCarthy suggested checking into renting a bus, possibly with Allegheny students or Unitarians. Jen can be contact for Edinboro U. students. Richard will contact Allegheny. Lora can do McDowell. Rebecca will contact Anderson bus company for prices. We need a flyer.
Mar 19th would be Erie event 7pm…speaker possibly at Cauley. Kaye Cofini suggested art annex possibility. Unitarian church another option. Anne spoke with Darrell Vandeveld, retired military prosecutor who is speaking out against the war In Iraq.

4,210+ ribbon update:
Jane Kirk found a Halloween prop coffin for $70. She has been looking for options to store and transport ribbons. Jen also suggested making our own coffin, which would be cheaper.
Speaker from Pittsburgh, Raed Jarrar: Bob Johnson will contact Celia to get info
Unitarian church will host Uzma Sharaaf speaking about stereotypes/Muslims as well as the violence in Gaza. Feb 17 at 7pm.
Rebecca will lead next EPI meeting . Bob offered anyone interested in leading to take a turn.
Discussion regarding Gaza….will set time aside to discuss specifically to get info/opinions.
Meet at 6pm for Gaza discussion before next meeting.
Jen Highfill has Lady of the Lake contact. They’d like ribbons around Memorial Day.
Edinboro U. also will host ribbons. Waiting for dates on that.
Rev. Fulford would like to have a possible event around ribbons……inviting Women in Black as well as American Legion so there is diversity. Jen suggested making a donation to a veterans' group as a focus around this or other displays.
Thursday: speakers at Mt. Calvary church.
Feb. 15: KEEP fundraiser.
