We are a gathering of people from Erie and Crawford counties who are concerned that the US war on terrorism has become a permanent global war. We are committed to education and action to stop this "War on Terrorism." We want to stop the escalation and spread of such war and to work for true justice and peace.

Erie Peace Initiative Candidates Forum (March 9, 2008)



On March 9 2008, the Erie Peace Initiative held a peace rally to mark the 5th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. After the March, all US Congressional candidates for the PA-3 legislative district were invited to speak in a candidate forum at Cauley Auditorium in Erie PA. All 4 Democratic Party candidates and the Independent candidate attended. Republican incumbent Phil English did not attend.
